McKenzie + Noah - Wedding at The Island at Darbonne | Farmerville, La

I feel like I say this about every wedding, but this one felt extra special. I used to teach, and Noah was one of my students. Watching him marry McKenzie was such a full-circle moment for me.

And honestly… I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a bride as laid back as McKenzie. The entire day started off so calm and relaxed. Makeup was done by Laci Jo Beauty and hair was styled by Kinsley Claire Foster, and everything came together so perfectly.

McKenzie and Noah decided to do things a little differently for their wedding ceremony, and I have to say — I absolutely loved it. They chose to have an intimate ceremony with only their grandparents present, then invited all of their friends and family to join afterward for the reception. It was such a meaningful way to honor the people who helped shape their lives and legacy.

They also took a special moment during the day to honor McKenzie’s grandfather who had passed away by releasing balloons and celebrating his memory. It was such a sweet and emotional moment.

The reception was SO much fun. DJ Chill kept the dance floor packed all night long.

But my favorite part of the night had to be the ending. McKenzie and some of her friends decided to jump in the pool to celebrate, and it honestly could not have been a more perfect way to end the day.

Because choosing just a handful was impossible, here are a few more moments from their beautiful wedding day.
