Miriam | ULM Senior Session | Monroe, La
Miriam absolutely rocked her ULM senior session! From showing off her Phi Mu colors to taking photos in front of the Warhawk on campus, every part of this session was so much fun. This sweet girl is beautiful inside and out, and I know she has such an exciting future ahead of her! 🤍
Senior sessions are always so special, but Miriam’s session at the University of Louisiana Monroe campus was one I won’t forget anytime soon! From the moment we started shooting, Miriam brought so much confidence, joy, and genuine sweetness to every single photo.
One of my favorite parts of her session was getting to incorporate her Phi Mu colors throughout the shoot. It was such a fun way to showcase her personality and celebrate her college experience. We also made sure to stop in front of the iconic Warhawk on campus for some classic ULM senior portraits — and those images turned out SO good!
Miriam is truly beautiful inside and out. She has such a kind spirit and such a bright future ahead of her. Getting to capture this exciting season of life for her was such an honor, and I know she is going to accomplish amazing things after graduation.
Congratulations again, Miriam! Thank you for trusting me to capture these memories for you. 🤍

Livi | Weston High School Senior Session
Livi’s senior session in downtown Ruston and on the Louisiana Tech campus was such a special one. From watching her grow into the sweet and beautiful young woman she is today to celebrating her future in Elementary Education, this session was full of excitement for everything ahead.
There are some sessions that just feel extra special, and Livi’s senior session was definitely one of them.
I have had the privilege of watching Livi grow into the beautiful young woman she is today, and getting to photograph this season of her life was such an honor. She is one of the sweetest souls — quiet, patient, kind, and effortlessly graceful in everything.
We spent the evening exploring beautiful downtown Ruston before heading over to the Louisiana Tech University campus, where she plans to attend college and major in Elementary Education. I cannot think of a more perfect path for her. With her gentle heart and caring spirit, I know she is going to make such an incredible teacher.
One of my favorite things about senior sessions is getting to capture not only who someone is right now, but also the excitement of everything ahead of them. Livi has such a bright future in front of her, and I have no doubt she will succeed at anything she sets her mind to.
Livi, thank you for allowing me to document such a meaningful season in your life. I am so excited to see all the amazing things your future holds.

A Beautiful Indian Baby Shower Celebration for Nishi | Winnsboro, La
A beautiful Indian baby shower filled with vibrant traditions, heartfelt blessings, and so much love as Nishi and her family celebrated the arrival of their little one.
I had the honor of photographing such a beautiful and meaningful celebration for Nishi and her growing family.
From the moment I arrived, the room was filled with vibrant colors, stunning traditional attire, and so much love. As Nishi made her entrance, surrounded by the most important women in her life, you could feel just how special this day truly was.
As the ceremony began, the priests prepared the sacred items while Nishi and her husband sat together, surrounded by family who made sure they were cared for every step of the way. Prayers, blessings, flower petals, and meaningful traditions filled the room—creating the perfect blend of sacred moments and joyful celebration.
There were so many sweet and fun moments woven throughout, from young girls offering blessings to laughter shared during playful traditions. Every detail reflected love, family, and the excitement of welcoming a new life.
I also got to sneak away for a few quiet minutes with the mom and dad-to-be to capture some intimate moments of just the two of them—such a special pause in the middle of such a meaningful day.
Nishi, thank you for trusting me to capture this incredible season of your life. It was truly an honor to witness and document the love surrounding your growing family.
Lauren & Kord’s Engagement Session | Downtown Ruston + Choudrant
Lauren and Kord’s engagement session was the perfect mix of meaningful and fun—from a relaxed walk through downtown Ruston to a playful, easygoing evening at our farm in Choudrant. Getting to hear about their future while capturing the way they naturally connect made this one so special. I can’t wait to celebrate them in August.
There’s something really special about getting to slow down and just be with my couples—and that’s exactly what this session with Lauren and Kord felt like.
We started their engagement session in historic downtown Ruston, wandering through the streets and soaking in all the little in-between moments. As we walked, we talked about their dreams, their future, and everything they’re building together. It’s always my favorite part—getting to know the heart behind the love story I’m capturing.
Lauren and Kord have such a natural connection. The way they look at each other, the ease between them—it made every moment feel effortless.
After downtown, we made our way out to our farm in Choudrant to finish their session, and the whole vibe shifted in the best way. It became more relaxed and more playful. I loved all of the sweet looks, the way they laughed together, and the moments that just naturally unfolded.
I loved every second of it. The quiet glances, the big laughs, the way they just fit.
I cannot wait to celebrate these two in August—it’s going to be such a beautiful day.
Maggie + Zach | White Oak Venue | Ruston, La Wedding
A timeless day at White Oak with Maggie and Zach—full of joy, family, and the kind of love you can feel in every moment. From her classic bridal look to the surprise prints delivered before the night ended, every detail was unforgettable.
Maggie and Zach’s wedding at White Oak was nothing short of timeless.
Maggie wore the most beautiful, classic dress—but it was her smile that truly stole the show. They were surrounded by family and friends for a ceremony that felt so genuine, joyful, and full of love.
Maggie also added on the Home Movie experience, which made the day even more special. Friends and family captured little behind-the-scenes moments on their phones throughout the day, and she later received all of those clips—giving her a raw, emotional view of her wedding from the people who love her most.
Did I mention every bride gets the Home Movie Experience—for FREE?
With an amazing photography team alongside me, we were able to capture every angle of their day—and I even got to sneak away to surprise Maggie with printed photos before the night was over. Getting to hold pieces of your wedding day in your hands just hours after it happens? There’s nothing like it. It was such an honor to be part of a day so full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

James Family Reunion | Ruston, La | The Big House
An unforgettable gathering rooted in legacy and connection—where every moment felt meaningful, and every detail told a story.
There are sessions that feel like work… and then there are sessions that feel like stepping into something much bigger than yourself.
I recently had the privilege of spending time with the James family during their reunion at The Big House in Ruston. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a gathering—it was a celebration of legacy, connection, and deep-rooted history.
The James family has such a rich presence in the Ruston community, and being invited into a space filled with so much love and connection was truly an honor. What stood out to me most was how they welcomed me in so effortlessly—they made me feel like part of the family from the very beginning, and that kind of warmth is something you don’t forget.
There’s something incredibly special about watching a family come together like that. The laughter, the joy, the way each generation fit seamlessly into the next—it’s a reminder of what really matters. These are the moments that deserve to be documented. Not just the posed portraits, but the in-between moments—the hugs, the laughter, the shared glances that say, “this is home.”
The James family carries a beautiful heritage, one that is clearly cherished and intentionally passed down. Being trusted to capture even a small part of that story is something I don’t take lightly.
Sessions like this are why I love what I do. It’s more than photos—it’s preserving legacy.

Why I Love Film Photography as a Ruston & Monroe Louisiana Wedding Photographer
There’s just something about film photography—it feels slower, more intentional, and beautifully nostalgic. As a Ruston and Monroe Louisiana wedding photographer, I love adding film into my sessions to create images that feel timeless, emotional, and completely unforgettable.
If you know anything about me, you already know this… I love film photography.
There is just something about it that feels different. Slower. More intentional. More real. And honestly? A little magical.
As a wedding photographer based in Ruston and Monroe, Louisiana, I spend most of my days shooting digital—but film will always have a special place in my heart.
What Makes Film Photography So Special?
Film photography has this nostalgic, timeless feel that’s hard to fully explain until you see it.
It feels more permanent… like a memory that’s been frozen in time instead of just captured.
The tones are softer. The highlights glow differently. And don’t even get me started on the grain—it’s that perfect, imperfect texture that makes every image feel like art. Truly… chef’s kiss.
Film Photography for Weddings & Sessions in North Louisiana
When I photograph weddings across Ruston, Monroe, Shreveport, and surrounding North Louisiana areas, I primarily shoot digital for reliability and speed.
But when the timeline allows? I always try to grab my film camera and capture a few frames.
Because those frames? They’re usually the ones that feel the most alive.
Not every session has time to add on film photography, but when it does, it becomes something really special—something that stands out in your gallery in the best way.
Real Moments Captured on Film
Addison – Cedar Creek High School Senior (Session in Monroe, Louisiana)
We captured Addison’s senior photos in front of the iconic arches in historic downtown Monroe, Louisiana, and let me tell you… film + architecture like that = perfection.
There’s something about combining classic locations with film that just works.
Clayton + Crisanna – Molto Bella Wedding Venue (Calhoun, Louisiana)
Clayton and Crisanna’s wedding at Molto Bella in Calhoun, Louisiana was the perfect setting for film.
Soft light, romantic details, and emotional moments—film just elevates it all.
Logan + Kylee – Sainte Terre Wedding (Near Shreveport, Louisiana)
At Sainte Terre in Benton, Louisiana (just outside Shreveport), Logan and Kylee’s wedding had the kind of light film photographers dream about.
Golden tones, movement, and emotion—it all comes together so beautifully on film.
MD + Maddie – Maternity Session in Choudrant, Louisiana
This maternity session in a field in Choudrant, Louisiana—just chasing light—was made for film.
It’s soft, dreamy, and full of emotion… exactly what film does best.
Should You Add Film Photography to Your Session?
If you’re someone who loves:
Nostalgic, timeless images
Soft tones and natural light
A more artistic, documentary feel
Then film photography might be the perfect add-on for your wedding or session.
As a Ruston and Monroe Louisiana wedding photographer, I love blending both digital and film to give you a gallery that feels full, emotional, and completely unique to you.
Let’s Create Something Timeless
If you’re planning a wedding or session in Ruston, Monroe, Shreveport, or anywhere in North Louisiana, I would love to capture your story—on digital and film.
Because some moments deserve to feel like they’ll last forever.
Theron + Gage | A Rescheduled Engagement Session That Was Worth the Wait
Theron and Gage’s engagement session may have been delayed by winter storm Fern, but the reschedule was more than worth the wait. From relaxed, joy-filled moments to intentional prompts (and even a few frames on film with the Yashica Mat-124), their session was effortless, fun, and completely true to who they are as a couple.
When winter storm Fern rolled through, Theron and Gage’s original engagement session date didn’t stand a chance. Ice, cold, and gray skies forced us to reschedule — but honestly? It just built the anticipation.
And let me tell you… they absolutely rocked their session.
We started off simple. One classic smiling-at-the-camera photo — you know, the one moms love. Right after that first shot, Theron laughed and asked if they could be done posing. That was my cue.
From that moment on, we ditched the stiff poses and leaned into movement, connection, and prompts that actually felt like them. Instead of “stand here and smile,” it became walking, whispering inside jokes, pulling each other in close, and just being together. The energy completely shifted, and that’s when the magic started happening.
Their chemistry made everything effortless. The way they looked at each other. It wasn’t about perfect posing — it was about capturing what they’re actually like.
And to make it even better? We pulled out the Yashica Mat-124 and shot a few frames on film. There’s something about medium format film that slows everything down in the best way. It feels intentional. Nostalgic. Timeless. Watching them lean into each other while hearing that soft click of the shutter — it was one of my favorite parts of the evening. I cannot wait to get the film developed!
Rescheduling because of a winter storm wasn’t the plan… but it ended up being exactly how it was supposed to be.
Theron and Gage, thank you for trusting me, embracing the prompts, and fully leaning into the fun. If this session is any indication, your wedding day is going to be an absolute dream.
Abigail + Micah | Downtown Ruston Engagement Session | Ruston, Louisiana Wedding Photographer
Abigail and Micah’s engagement session included Downtown Ruston, the Lincoln Parish Museum, and photos at a farm in Choudrant, Louisiana. See highlights from their North Louisiana engagement session and why this season is such an important part of the wedding experience.
Abigail and Micah’s engagement session was the perfect mix of classic, romantic, and a little bit playful — which is exactly why I love engagement sessions so much. As a Ruston, Louisiana engagement photographer, these sessions are one of my favorite parts of the wedding experience. They give us time to connect, get comfortable in front of the camera, and create images that truly reflect each couple’s personality before the big day.
We started their session in Downtown Ruston, one of my favorite locations for engagement photos. The charm of brick streets, historic buildings, and that warm Louisiana light always creates the most timeless backdrop.
From there, we headed to the Lincoln Parish Museum. To finish the evening, we made our way to our family farm in Choudrant, Louisiana. Of course, we couldn’t resist a little playful moment playing keep-away with Micah’s cowboy hat — which might have been one of my favorite candid moments of the entire session.
I am already counting down the days until their September wedding. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be absolutely beautiful.
If you're recently engaged and looking for a North Louisiana wedding photographer, I would love to connect and start planning your engagement session in Ruston, Choudrant, or the surrounding areas.
Boss Babe Energy & Branding Magic: A Weekend with Erin and the Bellame Ladies
Working with Erin is always a dream—her energy, her vision, and her heart are unmatched. I recently joined her for a weekend retreat she hosted for her Bellame team, and it was everything: inspiring, empowering, and full of boss energy. I got to offer branding sessions to some incredible women and hear the stories behind their businesses—and wow, their “why” runs deep. This weekend was more than just photos—it was purpose in action.
There’s something so special about working with clients who feel more like friends—especially the ones who come to the table with big visions and even bigger hearts. Erin has been one of those clients for a while now, and every time we get to collaborate, it feels like a mix of magic, creativity, and genuine connection.
Recently, she invited me to be a part of something really special: a weekend retreat she hosted at her home for some of her fellow Bellame ladies. Erin has been absolutely rocking the boss babe lifestyle, and this weekend was all about celebrating that energy—surrounding herself with women who are just as passionate, driven, and inspiring as she is.
I had the honor of offering branding photos, and let me tell you—these women showed up. Each session felt like its own little story, and I loved hearing each woman's unique “why” as we worked together. There’s something incredibly powerful about putting a face—and a purpose—behind a brand, and these ladies reminded me of just how meaningful that can be.
We laughed, we posed, we had real conversations… we captured purpose. Passion. That sparkle of “I’m doing this for me.”
To Erin—thank you for trusting me again and again to bring your vision to life. And to the Bellame women—thank you for letting me into your world for a weekend of fun, empowerment, and fierce branding energy.
Here's to women supporting women, building dreams, and showing up boldly—both in front of and behind the camera. 💫
Harley’s Bridal Session in Charming Downtown Ruston
Harley’s bridal session in downtown Ruston was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and southern charm. From her stunning satin gown to the sunlit streets and historic backdrops, every detail came together beautifully. Take a peek at this dreamy session as we count down to her big day!
Harley’s bridal session was everything we hoped for—timeless, elegant, and full of southern charm. We spent the afternoon wandering through beautiful downtown Ruston, where every corner seemed to complement her effortless style and stunning bridal look.
Her satin gown was truly a showstopper. The way it caught the light with every step made it feel like it was made just for her. The simple elegance of the fabric highlighted her natural beauty and brought a modern yet classic vibe to each photo. Paired with her soft curls and radiant smile, Harley was the picture of grace.
Downtown Ruston gave us the perfect backdrop for this session—from historic brick buildings to tucked-away alleyways and sun-drenched sidewalks. Every scene told a piece of her story and captured the quiet excitement leading up to her big day.
Getting to photograph Harley in this setting felt like such a privilege. She exudes confidence, kindness, and elegance—and it all shone through in these images.
FILM Photos
We also captured a few portraits on film—and I’m completely obsessed with how they turned out. There’s something so nostalgic and romantic about film photography that brings an added layer of depth to already beautiful moments. The tones, the texture, the emotion—it all feels a little more timeless. These frames quickly became some of my absolute favorites from the day. There’s just something so special about film. To me, it feels like it freezes time in a way that digital never quite can.
An Intimate Elopement & a Joyful Celebration | Chapman & Harley
Chapman and Harley couldn’t wait to say “I do,” so they eloped in a private ceremony full of love and emotion—just the two of them and their photographer. Later, they celebrated with a heartfelt reception at Hodge United Pentecostal Church, surrounded by family, friends, and sweet personal touches (including a heart-shaped wedding cake and a cookie cake for the groom!). Their day was the perfect blend of intimate and joyful.

Chapman and Harley simply couldn’t wait to start their forever. Though they had originally booked me to capture their wedding day later on, their love story had other plans. They decided to sneak away for an intimate ceremony—just the two of them (and me behind the lens). It was such a special moment to witness and document. The way they looked at each other was pure magic—undeniably full of love, tenderness, and excitement for the life ahead.
Later, they gathered with family and friends to celebrate their union with a beautiful reception at Hodge United Pentecostal Church. Harley spent the afternoon getting ready with her mom and a close friend, soaking in those quiet, meaningful moments. Chapman arrived toward the end of the prep and lovingly helped her with the finishing touches, including slipping on her shoes—such a sweet and thoughtful gesture.
The reception was filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful details. Their wedding cake was a stunning three-tiered heart-shaped design, and Chapman’s groom’s cake? A delicious cookie cake that guests couldn’t get enough of!
Chapman and Harley’s day was a perfect reflection of who they are—romantic, genuine, and full of love. I’m so honored to have been part of it.

Joyce & Chad’s Fun-Filled Engagement Session | Love & Laughter in Every Frame
When Joyce first reached out to me about capturing their engagement photos, she mentioned something many couples can relate to—her fiancé, Chad, wasn’t exactly thrilled about being in front of the camera. In fact, she specifically requested a shorter session, opting for the midi session to keep things simple and stress-free.
But let me tell you… Chad completely surprised us all!
From the moment they arrived at our location, Chad confessed he was hesitant about photos because he never knew what to do in them. Totally understandable, right? But once we got things rolling—adding a little movement, natural conversation, and some laughs—Chad came to life. He had us laughing the entire time and, by the end of the session, it felt like he was the star of the show!
What started as a quick shoot turned into one of the most joyful, lighthearted engagement sessions. The love and chemistry between Joyce and Chad is undeniable, and watching them interact so naturally made my job an absolute joy.
I couldn’t be happier for these two—it's so clear they’re meant for each other. Capturing their love was such a privilege, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them!
A Timeless Bridal Session at Logtown Estate | Kelly’s Bridals
Kelly was truly a dream bride—radiating joy, kindness, and excitement every step of the way. Her sweet spirit is just as stunning as her outer beauty, making this bridal session one to remember.
We had the pleasure of capturing her bridals at the historic Logtown Estate in Monroe, Louisiana. With its charming architecture and rich Southern history, this venue provided the perfect backdrop for such a classic and elegant shoot. If only the walls could talk—we can only imagine the stories they’d tell. Every detail came together seamlessly for this beautiful session, and we’re so excited to finally share a glimpse into Kelly’s bridal magic.
Maggie + Zach
Fun Fact! 🦌 Hunting is what brought Maggie + Zach together — how cool is that? I loved hearing their story during their engagement session! (I may or may not have gotten the story on video so be watching out for those instagram reels!)
We went back and forth all week wondering if the weather would hold out, but thankfully it worked in our favor. It did sprinkle for a few minutes, but we were lucky to have the gorgeous White Oak Venue in Ruston, LA to duck into while the rain passed. Honestly, it made the whole session feel even more cozy and romantic!
So glad we got to capture these sweet moments — can’t wait to celebrate Maggie + Zach on their big day!
CRISANNA + CLAYTON (+DUTTON)
I had so much fun with Clayton and Crisanna during their engagement session. I cannot wait for their wedding in October! We started their session in Downtown Ruston and finished in the most beautiful field with tall grass. They also had a family member bring their sweet puppy, Dutton.
OH! And Crissana and Clayton are my first couple to have film photography added to their session. I shot on two different film cameras. if you make it to the end of the post, you will see some images from the medium format Yashica Mat-124 film camera.
Sweet Dutton was the goodest boy! He loved all of the attention he was getting. (And all of the treats)
Now lets have a minute for the film photos…
I am literally obsessed with these images. The following images were shot on a Yashica Mat-124. This camera is from 1968, y’all! 1968!!!!! And it still takes great images. There is something about these that just feel so timeless. I want all of my brides to add film to their packages now. I am completely obsessed!
Harley + Chapman
It all begins with an idea.
I have know Chapman and his family for quite some time. When I found out that Chapman had met Harley and he was ready to pop the question I was so exited. I absolutely loved getting to shoot their engagements. I absolutley loved getting to watch Harley and Chapman interact. You can tell they are both so in love with each other.
We started our session in Downtown Ruston and finished in a beautiful field with tall flowy grass.
We also have some really cool film images on their way but they had to be developed first. I cannot wait for those to come back so I can share them with you! (We actually shot some with the camera that you see Harley and Chapman holding in some of these pictures)
