Trott + Karen | Celebrating 50 Years of Love and a Beautiful Legacy Built | 50th Anniversary
Trott and Karen have built a beautiful life rooted in love, family, and connection—and celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary felt like a living reflection of that legacy. Surrounded by family and friends, the evening at The Big House was nothing short of unforgettable.
Even with the weather keeping everyone on their toes, the day came together seamlessly. Tanya Paul Designs and her team transformed the space with such intention and beauty—bringing in elegant tents that felt just as elevated as an indoor celebration. Chandeliers hung from each tent, portable AC units kept everyone comfortable (truly a lifesaver), and thoughtfully designed lounge seating was placed throughout the property to create warm, inviting spaces for guests to gather.
The florals were a soft, timeless mix of white roses with touches of blush pink, buttery yellow, and fresh greenery—classic and full of life. A custom dance floor featuring their monogram sat at the center of it all, tying the entire design together in the most personal way.
Guests were welcomed with delicious catering from UpperCrust, including beautifully prepared passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour that set the tone for the evening.
The celebration began with live music from the Tarbutton Band, followed by heartfelt toasts from their children and grandchildren—moments that reminded everyone what the night was truly about. As the sun set, Bag of Donuts took the stage and turned the reception into a full-on celebration. The dance floor stayed packed as family and friends danced late into the night.
From start to finish, every detail came together to honor a marriage built on 50 years of love, commitment, and legacy. I am so grateful to have been there to witness and document such a meaningful celebration.
